PEDIATRIC CARE

The birth process can be traumatic on a newborn's spine. 60-90 pounds of pressure can be put on your baby’s neck during delivery and these delivery methods can create micro-traumas of the spinal structures and nervous system. A well-adjusted spine and an optimally functioning nervous system are the keys to healthy growth and development. Chiropractic adjustments following birth have demonstrated positive effects in infants experiencing difficulties such as trouble breastfeeding or latching, colic, reflux, chronic ear infections, allergies, asthma, ADD, chronic bed wetting, digestive issues, constipation, difficulty sleeping, general fussiness, and weakened immune system function.

Children are often running and playing which may lead to unwanted accidents or falls. Many children and teens today also participate in recreational sports, marching band, and extracurricular activities that place stress on their spines. All of this movement is great for their bodies, but also increases their chances of creating nervous system interference and irritation. Children and teens are just as vulnerable to health complications from spinal issues as adults. It is beneficial to take your children for regular adjustments to keep their nervous system functioning to promote proper growth and development. Regular chiropractic care throughout childhood creates healthy lifelong habits.

The pressure placed on the child's spine is no more than the pressure you can comfortably tolerate by pressing into your closed eye.
